MOIMAY
In this village, you will see many nice farmhouses; some of them, dating from the 18th century, are listed. Going through the village you can see the beautiful circular fountain covered with a canopy roof. The cast iron pillars allow the storm drainage in the drinking trough. The church was rebuilt in 1849 and shelters tombstones and polychrome wooden statues from the 18th century, and a nice holy water stoup from 1702 that is headed with its superb ancient Comtois steeple. At the place named “La Grange d’Ancin”, you can see a monolithic boundary ornamented with a hand. It may be a triangulation boundary mark erected by the engineer topographer of the 18th. The 6 boundary marks found in Haute Saône may have been used to draw the famous map of Cassini. Towards Aillevans, there is a roman bridge straddling to the river Lauzin and an oratory of 18th century.
