In the village, you can always admire the church which was rebuilt in 1865, dedicated to St Martin. A lot of old beautiful houses dated back to the 15th and 16th centuries make up the village, as the Prévost or the “Tabellion House”, that are located in the city hall place. The mound of Grammont is the culminating point of the region of Villersexel (517 m). The first settlement on the mound dates back to the Iron Age. At the end of the 14th century a castle was built there but it was demolished under the orders of Louis XIV when the King conquered the Franche-Comté area in 1674. From the mound, will appear a beautiful view point on the foothills of the Vosges, the plain of Haute Saône, and the Chapel of Ronchamp.
