CREVANS/LA CHAPELLE LES GRANGES
E-mail: mairie.crevans@orange.fr
This village has got a wonderful fountain with multiple basins. It was founded in the 18th century by F. Grandmoungin. Quite nice with its columns, which were formerly ornamented with buckets, but it is also ingenious. Circular in shape, the cesspool and the drinker trough are linked to each other by channels allowing the water to flow. Situated in the front of the city hall, the fountain holds a strategic place in the village. Near the fountain, you can see a statue of the Virgin erected by G. Oudot, a famous sculptor of Franche-Comté. The village competes for the flowered houses (2 flowers) and has also a small chapel. Twice a year, the Haute-Saone horse recreation association organizes a “Horse day”. It takes place in Crevans (during spring and autumn) offering a lot of activities.
